Just let me be President

"In the days after President Bush won a second term, the number of U.S. citizens visiting Canada's main immigration Web site shot up sixfold, prompting speculation that unhappy Democrats would flock north. But official statistics show the number of Americans actually applying to live permanently in Canada fell in the six months after the election. Data from the main Canadian processing center in Buffalo, NY shows that in the six months up to the U.S. election there were 16,266 applications from people seeking to live in Canada, a figure that fell to 14,666 for the half year after the vote."

Just some very interesting data. All those idiots out in Hollywood... Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin... hell, the "star" puppets in Team America... all crying and bitching and moaning when W. won the election. All the democrats saying they were moving to Canada or overseas. Then... what happened? Why didn't they leave? No, seriously, I want to know. I kinda wanted them to leave. Go live in Canada you assholes. Go speak French in Quebec. Take off, eh? I mean, seriously, it would be nice to go one day without hearing a disgruntled democrat ripping on W. Ok, so he isn't the BEST president we've ever had. He's not the brightest guy in the world. But he IS our president. Now, I'm not what you would call a Republican or a Democrat. I guess my views and beliefs lean toward the republican side, but I don't really care. It's just a label. What I am is an American citizen that is sick of the millionaires in Hollywood not supporting our president. We had to live through the Clinton administration. We all survived. Hell, he wasn't just an idiot, he was a cheating husband that got caught... in the White House. But we forgave him. (Well, not everyone, but he kept his Presidency.) So when a republican gets elected, the democrats in Hollywood cry and threaten to move away... DO IT DAMMIT! Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

So, instead they stay in record numbers. Fewer people than ever are moving to Canada. Maybe it's the weather. Maybe those idiots looked at the immigration website and decided they weren't smart enough to figure it all out. Regardless, this is the land of the free... and those people are free to leave whenever they want. Nobody is stopping them! Go ahead and go, I'm tired of hearing about it. As for me, I choose to stick around, support my president (WHOEVER that may be) and my country.
